The first few questions relate to what you found when you attempted to "clean" the datafile, i.e., to inspect the numbers and either eliminate or correct data that appear to be mistakes in recording or typing.
  1. How many data points were originally (before you "cleaned" the file) in the Desertview data column?

  2. How many data points did you eliminate from the Desertview data column because you believed them to be "bad data points"?

  3. How many data points were originally in the Mountainview data column?

  4. How many data points did you eliminate from the Mountainview data column because you believed them to be "bad data points"?
  5. Offer any comments you care to make about how you cleaned the datafile and eliminated or corrected "bad" data points.

  6. With the datafile cleaned, construct a frequency distribution of the Mountainview salary data using the following bin numbers: 10000, 20000, 30000, 40000, 50000, 60000. (Note: These numbers are the upper limits of the bins or classes, so that the bin ending in 10000 conatins all salaries between $0 and $10,000.) Once you have constructed the frequency distribution, fill in the frequency counts in the following table (if a salary lands exactly on the limit of a class, e.g., $20,000, put it in the class above, i.e., $20,000-30,000 and not $10,000-20,000):
