1. Indicate for each of the following situations whether the scale of measurement involved is Nominal, Ordinal, Interval, or Ratio.
   a) Children are classified as Anglo, Hispanic, African-American or Asian.
   

   b) Schools are ranked from 1 to 230 based on their SAT-9 score averages.
   

   c) Special education students are reported to be either LD (learning disabled), ADD (attention deficit disorder), or ED (emotionally disturbed).
   

   d) The time it takes students to alphabetize 50 book titles is recorded as a measure of their cognitive processing ability.
   

   e) Pupils are given a nationally normed achievement test and given grade equivalent scores like 4.3 yrs, 5.1 yrs, and 6.0 yrs.
